Books Left Unread #13

Books Left Unread

Welcome to my blog post where I talk about the books I have been meaning to read, but just have not yet. You know what I am talking about – the books that have remained unread for various reasons yet when you see them you think, “You know, I really need to read that.” Instead you get distracted by another book, series, or something in your TBR pile. It happens to the best of us. I want to spotlight those books in the hope that I can persuade myself to move them up on my TBR list.

This week’s post is dedicated to Scarlet by A. C. Gaughen

Scarlet (Scarlet, #1)

I have had book one sitting on my shelf for quite some time now. Why have I left it there? Historical fiction. This is the one genre that I really have a hard time with. Sure, I openly admit High Fantasy is tough for me, but Historical Fiction is much tougher. So riddle me this, should I attempt to read this?

  1. I started reading this… but never finished. Which is strange for me to say at the very least, as I ADORE these sorts of genres (although I admit that some historical fiction can be hard for me.) It’s not that I found there was anything wrong with it–more than it just wasn’t for me.
