Review:
This story surprised me in a good way. I enjoyed the original story of Hades and Persephone. While this seems to be a well loved classic tale, this author did a wonderful job of giving it a fresh spin.
I am going to try very hard not to give anything away. Know that the character development was very well done, the world building was lush, and the pacing was exactly where it should be. There was some delightful humor sprinkled throughout the story so I wasn’t just listening to a retelling drone on. I can tell you, with a smile on my face, that there were no love triangles and no insta-love. Hooray!
