January Monthly Wrap Up

books

Hello everyone! Welcome to my first 2018 Wrap Up! I set the bar rather high this month and I know I won’t be able to keep the pace going, but it did set me up for a good year.

Books I Read

I roughly finished 99 books in January. You read that right… NINETY-NINE. How? A lot of catching up on graphic novels and audio books. I am proud of myself for catching myself up and getting these books marked off of my TBR.

Total for the year: 99/250

January Book Events

There was supposed to be a Marie Lu signing in Houston but it was canceled due to weather. BOO.

February Book Events

I don’t have anything on my radar as of right now but that could always change. Until that does, I’m going to continue to plow through my TBR. 🙂

How about you? What did you read? What bookish events are on the calendar for you?

November Monthly Wrap Up

books

Hello everyone! I promised myself I would be better at my monthly wrap ups so here we are! I knocked a few reads off of my TBR so I’m proud of myself for that. I groaned with disappointment when some of my anticipated reads turned out to be massive duds.

Books I Read

I roughly finished 23 books in November. I am quite disappointed in myself for that but there are several factors that caused me to read 14 less than the month before: I had a medical scare that took over my my thoughts for weeks; Thanksgiving holiday meant I was without my books for four days; I read much longer books than I normally do; and one physical book took me much longer to finish than it should have. I really wanted to push myself. Most were through Overdrive while two were sent by publishers for book tours and/or review, and a few were through my Audible account. Thank you to the publishers!!

Total for the year: 382/100

October Monthly Wrap Up

books

Hello everyone! I promised myself I would be better at my monthly wrap ups so here we are! I knocked a lot of want to reads off of my TBR so I’m proud of myself for that. I reread a favorite (Geekerella FTW) and groaned with disappointment when some of my anticipated reads turned out to be massive duds.

Books I Read

I roughly finished 37 books in October. As always, I feel I could have done better. I’ll admit, I DNFd a couple of these books but GR counts them anyways. Most were through Overdrive while two were sent by publishers for book tours and/or review, and a few were through my Audible account. Thank you to the publishers!!

June/July/August/September Monthly Wrap Up

books

Hello everyone! I have been bad about doing my monthly wrap up! I can’t believe I haven’t completed this post since MAY. So sorry! Sit back and prepare yourself for the books I’ve read/completed/DNF over the past four months. This is a long list…

Books I Read

I roughly finished 90 books in the past four months. In my head I feel I should have/could have done better. Look at me, being such an overachiever. As always, most were through Overdrive while others were sent by publishers for book tours and/or review, and a few were through my Audible account. Thank you to the publishers!!

There were some absolutely amazing books that I was able to finish in the above list. I struggled with quite a few books in the list above and some I DNFs. That’s every month and every reader, right?

Summer Book Events

I attended Moxie book launch on September 30 at Blue Willow Bookshop in Houston. It was so much fun! There was a DJ, cake pops (!!!), and so many amazing people! If you haven’t read Moxie, DO IT.

October Book Events

TEXAS TEEN BOOK FESTIVAL!! I am excited yet nervous to attend this as my first experience was not a good one. Let’s hope it goes smoother this year.

How about you? What did you read? What bookish events are on the calendar for you?

May Monthly Wrap Up

books

Hello everyone! Welcome to my May Monthly Wrap Up. The month felt like it flew by! How is it already JUNE? The ever present heat outside lets me know that summer in Houston will be rough this year.

Books I Read

My stats say I completed 40 books in the month of May, but it felt like a slow month. I felt I should have done better. Look at me, being such an overachiever. As always, most were through Overdrive while others were sent by publishers for book tours and/or review. Thank you to them!!

May Book Events

This is where I was lame because I attended NOTHING book related during the month. *sad emoji face*

June Book Events

I know of a couple events happening this month but still not sure if I want to attend. One is going to be a madhouse, I just know it.

How about you? What did you read in May? What bookish events are on the calendar for you?

April Book Events

I attended TeenBookCon the first weekend in April and it was AMAZING. I also attended a book signing by three super talented authors. I do enjoy living in a city that hosts such fun events.

Still not sure what book events/signings I will attend this month but I’m excited to see what pops up.

How about you? What did you read in April? What bookish events are on the calendar for you?

February/March Book Events

In February I attended my first book festival of the year: North Texas Teen Book Festival. I was not able to attend any other book signings due to a really hectic work schedule. 😦

April Book Events

TeenBookCon was April 1 and it was amazing! There are other signings I hope to attend.

How about you? What did you read in March? What bookish events are on the calendar for you?

I have been able to read and catch up on my graphic novels/comics and that has made me happy. I welcome recommendations for new series to start!

What did you read last month? What have you read so far this month? Let me know!

I will be on vacation the last two weeks of the year so I’m not sure how much reading I will get done but I’ll give it my best try.

October Monthly Wrap Up

books

Hello everyone! Welcome to my October Monthly Wrap Up. I don’t felt I finished as many books as I had in the past. So many good books came out that I was eager to get my grubby hands on them, especially if my library app had them available. I still feel I could have done better.

Books I Read

I felt like a reading champ in October! I feel like I read a lot of really good books, which always makes me very happy. Here are my stats: 33 books completed. I finished far more audios than physical this time. I believe I need to kick up my attempts at reading/finishing more physical books…
